If you’ve ever worked with a great teacher/tutor, you know what a pleasure it is to recommend him/her to the people you know, like, and love.

I’ve wanted to offer an incentive program to reward my existing and previous clients for a while. But then I thought, “What if I just offer a free lesson for everyone who sends us referrals?”

The other day, I was tutoring 16-year-old Spanish student Mia who lives in New York. I told her about my plans to reward my students who refer me to new clients by giving them a free lesson for every new student who starts lessons with my company. Her eyes lit up with delight as she asked me, “You mean to say that if I send 10 of my friends to you, I get 10 free lessons?”

I replied with a big smile and said to her, “That is exactly what I mean!”

She was so excited to hear this news and told me that she could not wait to tell her hard-working father, who pays for the lessons, that they needed to start sending other students my way.
